Our son Cole is a 2 1/2 year old expressive little redhead. When his shiny, new Ther-Adapt
chair was delivered, Cole and his father and I were thrilled. Cole can sit up so much better
with his special supportive chair! He can now attend school and church with children his own
age, instead of staying in the infant nursery. Thank you for funding this great adaptive chair.
Your foundation enables parents of special needs children to keep up their dreams of
keeping their precious little ones mainstreamed and involved in life just like other children.
Thank you for your generosity and for being you!
Cole is a medically fragile child with Cerebral Palsy, visual impairment and other diagnoses.
Fragile Kids Foundation purchased his positioning chair and accessories which are shown
above.
A wheelchair lift has given Mikel the freedom to
enjoy outings with his family. Although lifts such as
this one can make a dramatic difference in a
family's life, they are not covered by private
insurance, Medicaid or other health care
programs. Fragile Kids Foundation assists
children with special needs like Mike, with the
purchase of items such as lifts, bath chairs,
walkers, and communications devices.
"Brent" is a charming fifteen-year-old with Muscular Dystrophy
who wrote a special letter to the Foundation requesting a
wheelchair lift for his family's van. Brent called himself "mobility
in motion" and described has active participation in school,
sports and church. His family was in great need of a wheelchair
lift to safely transport him to all his activities. Brent's mother
reports that the lift has been a "tremendous blessing" for the
family and Brent.
Craig uses a touch window to operate his family's home computer. The touch window, Big Red Switch and electrical software purchased by the Foundation, allow him to practice skills he learned at school and to acquire new skills at home. With the support of his family schools and organizations like Fragile Kids Foundation, Craig continues to overcome the obstacles caused by Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus
