Through this initiative, the Foundation “grants”
equipment for a medically fragile child based on
medical necessity as determined by the child’s
physician or therapist. Examples of assistance
provided in this program include a wheelchair lift
installed in a family ‘s van, toileting systems, lifting
systems, bath chairs and specialized car seats.
The Foundation pays directly for the equipment and
funds are not given directly to families. The average
grant is approximately $1,200 depending on the
type of equipment.
